Hardenability: refers to the ability of the steel to obtain the depth of the hardenable layer when quenched under certain conditions, which is mainly affected by the carbon content and alloying elements in the austenite. Refers to the characteristics that determine the hardening depth and hardness distribution of steel under specified conditions. The hardenability of steel is good and bad, and it is often expressed by the depth of the hardened layer. The greater the depth of the hardened layer, the better the hardenability of the steel. The hardenability of steel mainly depends on its chemical composition, especially the alloying elements that increase the hardenability, grain size, heating temperature and holding time and other factors. The steel with good hardenability can make the entire section of the steel piece obtain uniform mechanical properties and the quenching agent with low quenching stress of the steel piece can be selected to reduce deformation and cracking. Production process of seamless steel pipe

1. The tube blank must be subjected to three-roll continuous rolling, and the sizing test shall be carried out after extrusion. If the surface does not respond to cracks, the tube shall be cut by a cutting machine. 2. Then enter the annealing process. Annealing should be pickled with acid liquid. When pickling, pay attention to whether there is a large amount of blistering on the surface. If there is a large amount of blistering, it means that the quality of the steel pipe does not meet the corresponding standards. 3. After the quality inspection, it must be strictly hand-selected by the staff, and the surface must be oiled after the quality inspection. 4. If the perforation diameter is too large, it must be straightened. After straightening, it is transferred by the conveyor to the flaw detector for flaw detection experiment. Finally, the label is affixed, the specification is arranged, and then it is placed in the warehouse.
